Hope for sunshine and bring a lawn chair for the Highlands Bluegrass Festival at Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg, NY, from 1 p.m. through 6 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2017.

The free event features an afternoon of bluegrass and Americana music and a selection of craft and other vendors. Banjo extraordinaire Tony Trischka headlines this year’s festival.

The festival is worth a drive to Sloatsburg, just north on Route 17 and right next to Harriman State Park. The Bluegrass Festival is part of the many colorful seasonal events dotting Hudson Valley communities in September, including throughout Rockland County.

The Highlands Bluegrass Festival takes place Sunday, September 9, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Jacob-Sloat House/Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg, NY.

The event has been supported by Rockland County Tourism, the Town of Ramapo, I Love NY, and the ever nurturing hands of the Friends of Harmony Hall.
