Why Not Get Married Again?

Love will be in the air Thursday morning at Suffern Village Hall.

suffernvillageSuffern Mayor Dagan LaCorte has invited Suffern couples who want to renew their wedding vows to come down to the Suffern Village Hall on July 4th at 10:00 a.m. One couple who has taken the mayor up on his proposal has been married 53 years and wants to do it again, with Mayor Lacorte officiating.

“We could always use more love in Village Hall,” Lacorte said about the July 4th ceremony, “So grab your partner, come down to Village Hall and tell everyone you would do it all again. My wife Stacey and I know the commitment that it takes for two people, and want to celebrate that on July 4th.”

Lacorte said the any couples who want to take the plunge and renew vows will share a complimentary wedding cake from Crumbs, a Suffern bakery, after he performs the ceremony, which will take place at the Suffern Village Hall auditorium. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
