The Sloatsburg Village Board met for its annual reorganization meeting Monday night, December 5, where the Village Board made year-long, and in some cases, multi-year appointments, to an empty Village Hall. None of the appointees attended the meeting. All Village Trustees were present, as was Village Clerk and Treasurer Thomas Bollatto and Village Attorney Joel Grossbarth.

With Mayor Carl Wright absent due to personal matters, Deputy Mayor J. Mark Reimer chaired the meeting. Reappointments were made to more than 7 positions, most scheduled to last until this time in 2012. Michael Yorke will continue as Fire Inspector, Glenn Thompson was reappointed as Chairman of the Sloatsburg Planning Board, as was Michael Dolan, who was given another year as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals. Harrison Bush was retained as Village Historian. Bennetto Perichetti was appointed to the Sloatsburg Planning Board for a 7 year term that lasts through 2018.

Additionally, the Village Board retained the Village Auditor and voted to continue service with Miele Sanitation Company for solid waste collection. Transportation and disposal service was kept with Rockland County Solid Waste Management. The Journal News was retained as the official Village newspaper.

Trustee Barbara Berntsen reported, unoffically, pending final tallies, that the Harmony Hall Victorian Holiday, sponsored by the Friends of Harmony Hall, raised more than $2,300.
