Local historian and environmental educator Doc Baynes is known for his pocket full of presentations. From the iron mines of Sterling Forest to the hidden discovery of the Great West Point Chain Forge to everything you need to know about those pesky eight-legged ticks.

Baynes will host a Sunday, May 1 afternoon hike and lecture at Sterling Forest State Park Visitors Center, beginning at 1 p.m.

Learn about ticks and then take a mile hike in search them.
