Snow Day

Posted on 21 January 2012 by Editor

The low growl and scrape of heavy metal snow plow on hard road could be heard throughout Sloatsburg early morning, evidence that the village finally had its first winter snow. A steady snow fall is expected to continue through 2 p.m. this afternoon, with an estimated 3-5 inches of accumulation. The temperature for most of Saturday should hover in the high 20s and then begin to climb. All day rain and 50 degree temperatures are forecast for Monday. So, enjoy Saturday’s snow day. Although most roads are being cleared throughout the village, drive carefully as roads are slippery with a wet, wintry mix of snowfall.
