Sloatsburg Common Lot Gets Repaved

The Village of Sloatsburg is resurfacing the Common Parking Lot on Mill Street, which is expected to be closed for approximately one week. Rino Paving & Construction out of Tuxedo won the open bid for the job. The work includes cutting trees, enlarging the lot along the southern edge, reworking drainage, and paving the lot.

The Common Lot work should be complete next week, depending on the weather and other conditions.

For train and bus commuters who normally use the Common Lot, thirty parking spots have been made available at the Municipal Parking Lot, directly behind the Municipal Building at the Village Hall.

The first row in the center of the parking lot is reserved for village visiters and employees.

Additionally, there are parking space available during the Common Lot work at the Sloatsburg Senior Center, located opposite the Sloatsburg Public Library on Liberty Rock Road.

Work on the Common Lot is scheduled to be completed by Friday, October 5. For further information, call the Village Hall at 845.753-2727.
