It is with that longevity and community service in mind, as “mentor, supporter and surrogate mother for so many of our young people,” that Sloatsburg Mayor Carl Wright has made a proclamation declaring Friday, June 27 as Michele Zeidman Day in the Village of Sloatsburg.

“When you think in 30 years all of the kids who have passed through the elementary school and each one of them have had contact  with Mrs. Zeidman,” said Mayor Wright on the importance Mrs. Zeidman has had in helping to shape and contribute to the lives of so many in the Sloatsburg community.

Friday, June 27 will be Mrs. Zeidman’s last official day as top administrator in the elementary school office, and the face of the school that has greeted the comings and goings students for years.
