Harmony Hall Hosts Summer Solstice Great Lawn Celebration

Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg will host a Summer Solstice Celebration on Saturday, June 20, from 2 p.m. through 5 p.m. that will include nature walks and arts & crafts for kids.

Harmony Hall in Sloatsburg will host a Summer Solstice Celebration on Saturday, June 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. that will include nature walks and arts & crafts for kids.

Saturday promises to be a sunny late spring day. Celebrate summer Saturday with the Friends of Harmony Hall as the group hosts an afternoon of of live music, food and other fun families activities.

Lavander grows on the grounds of Harmony Hall and is currently in bloom.

The community is invited to spend a day on Harmony Hall’s Great Lawn from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to welcome the Summer Solstice and arrival of summer. The event is free.

Eric Escoffery will perform a range of Americana tunes around 2:30 p.m.

HarmonyHallSignHarmony Hall Curator Geoff Welch will lead a guided nature walk around the property. Noted regional author and archeologist Edward Lenik will be on hand to discuss his new book Keepers of the Pass — Lenik’s third book on the Ramapough-Lenape.

Take a moment to celebrate the longest day of the year and the coming summer sunshine.

The Friends of Harmony Hall – Jacob Sloat House is dedicated to the preservation of the important Ramapo landmark, and to the design and support of arts, cultural and historical programs that promote the rich and varied history of New York’s magnificent Ramapo River Pass and Highlands.
