Suffern, N.Y. – The Town of Ramapo’s 13th Annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2014, 8:00 PM, at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza which is located at the front entrance of Town Hall. The theme of the Town’s 9/11 Memorial, which includes an American Eagle overlooking a beam from the South Tower of The World Trade Center, is the Triumph of Freedom Over Tyranny.

“As we approach the 13th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City we must never forget the more than 3,000 Americans who lost their lives on American soil that day, the bravery of the first responders on that day and thousands wearing the U.S. Military uniforms who have fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan since that day” said Supervisor Christopher P. St. Lawrence.

The Town of Ramapo’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will be broadcast live by Cablevision (channels 75, 77 or 78), Verizon Fios (channel 32) and video-streamed at www.ramapo.org on-line starting at 8:00 PM.

In case of inclement weather, the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will take place at Ramapo Town Hall in the Town Council Room, 237 Route 59, Suffern, N.Y. at 8:00 P.M.
