Get ready – Sloatsburg’s on sale. Coming to a garage or yard near you on Saturday, May 16. All day long. All you have to do is pick up a directory and go exploring.

Sloatsburg’s annual Village Wide Garage Sale is not only a fundraiser for the Sloatsburg Scholarship Fund, it’s also a great community-building event where local yards and garages unite in common cause.

The official Garage Sale Directory that lists all village wide sale locations will be available at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, complete with maps and items of special interest.

Maps will be available on the day of the event at Hayward’s Deli, Sterlington Station, Jessie’s Bagels, and the Sloatsburg Public Library.

The Sloatsburg Scholarship Fund works as a local non-profit that thinks up bright ideas to help raise money for Sloatsburg student scholarships. The Garage Sale directory registration fee $15 and all proceeds are put toward local scholarships.

The Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to local, Sloatsburg students that range from 5th graders through high school.

Many of the Sloatsburg scholarships are awarded the annual Evening of Excellence awards dinner and ceremony takes place at the William L. Ransom auditorium at Suffern High School, usually in June.
