The Friends of Harmony Hall will host a Restoration Celebration Sunday, April 7, at Harmony Hall from 2 – 5 p.m. The celebration will mark the official beginning of several major renovation projects at the Jacob Sloat House, which will include the front porch and roof. Town of Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence will be a special guest. St. Lawrence has been instrumental in helping to preserve many of Ramapo’s historic buildings and parcels through the Town’s Open Space policy.

Harmony Hall’s architecture and history were listed on the New York State and National Registry of Historic Places in 2006. The major capital improvement initiative that includes full restoration of the roof, cupola, front veranda and entrance doors is partially funded by grant monies from the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation.
