Suffern, N.Y. – Supervisor Christopher P. St. Lawrence announced today that the Town of Ramapo has once again been selected to host the 88th Annual N.Y. Daily News Golden Gloves.  The Golden Gloves Fight Card will take place on Saturday, February 7th, 3:00 PM at The Joseph T. St. Lawrence Community, Health & Sports Center located at 115 Torne Valley Road, Hillburn, N.Y.

The Daily News Golden Gloves is the oldest and best known amateur boxing tournament in the world, having produced fighters who have gone on to become Olympic and Professional Champions.  The Ramapo bouts are held each year in memory of Patrick Faherty, the late principal of Suffern High School.

Tickets are priced at $20 for Adults; $10 for First Responders, those 14 and younger and senior citizens 60 and over.  Tickets will be available at the door or in advance at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY.  All proceeds of this event will go to the N.Y.
